During the mandatory Shelter at Home Order

As the situation regarding COVID-19 changes by the hour, it is times like these we must communicate and work together. At midnight tonight, we are on a shelter in place order in both Travis and Williamson Counties; however, Hamlet Coworking are considered an exempt or essential business for three different categories on the list below in the link below. Many small businesses are facing unprecedented challenges. The length and magnitude of the short and long-term impact on all of our businesses are yet to be completely clear. Hopefully this will be a short delay to our normal operations.

We are closely monitoring what our Local, State, and Federal government is looking to implement to support small businesses that may be available to you. The Small Business Administration has a particularly helpful site that contains a wide range of resource suggestions:

Our commitment is to provide you with mail services, office, and meeting space to operate throughout and when this crisis is over according to the regulations set by Local, State and National guidelines and orders.

In the meantime, we have taken the following actions as we continue to provide you the best possible service we can:

  • We have educated ourselves on best practices, which include proper hygiene, use of PPE, and social distancing. Employees who feel ill or even think they were exposed will notify us immediately and will not report to work.
  • We are offering ongoing mail services to all Virtual Address Hamlet members. We want you to have, checks, important documents, and receivables.
  • We are only offering office and meeting services to those businesses deemed “essential” by the County Shelter in Place Order and support this decision 100%.
  • FOR EVERYONES SAFETY: We are not allowing any family member visits, especially children or any friend visits.
  • We have closed our open coworking areas, and instead we are offering private office use during the shelter in place order period.
  • We will not be actively selling new memberships during the shelter in place order.
  • ​Many of our members have already temporarily moved to work from home. Each member business will continue as Hamlet Members until such time that we are notified that you wish to end your membership in 30 days unless your lease or other agreement outlines a different timeframe.
  • I have purchased many paper and plastic plates, bowels, plastic ware and cups. Let refrain from creating any dirty dished. There are open trash cans in the kitchen. There are gloves, paper towels and disinfectant and hand sanitizer in the kitchen. Wash your hands, clean your desk and chairs.
  • At this time, we have separated our maintenance responsibilities into Non-essential and Essential as described below. Please continue to submit maintenance issues through our website or service email address.

  1. Non-essential- These are maintenance responsibilities that won't cause your business interruption, threaten anyone's safety or risk further property damage. Examples are light bulb replacement, door sticking, etc. If you are in an office please TAKE OUT YOUR OWN TRASH TO THE DUMPSTER. I have put extra trash bags in your offices.
  2. Essential- These are maintenance responsibilities that can cause business interruption, threaten anyone's safety, or have the potential to cause further property damage. Examples of this are flooding, HVAC issues, etc. We have also instituted sanitizing procedures if we do need to enter your space that ensure all surfaces our team may come in contact with will be properly sanitized after our work is completed

Hamlet Coworking was founded on the mission to provide a simple, affordable and flexible work experience so our Hamlet community can pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. We have not wavered in that mission and commitment to you.

You made an excellent choice when you became a customer of ours and we look forward to working with you through this challenging time.
